Came to Bristol for the weekend from London last Saturday. Timbuk2 was a eclectic mix of people and music from old school jungle to filthy electro and the people? Well met some absolute randoms who obviously have a complex about their accents to some absolute gems who made the night for me. I've never met bouncers and staff as friendly and they couldn't do enough for you.

It is dark, dingy and gloomy. The toilets are manky and not well maintained but if you're into your non commercial crap and meeting like minded people then you'll get past it all.

From beginning to end, the music and sound system exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Timbuk2 in an instant.

An absoloutely brilliant club with a top notch sound system. Went there for the first time for a 'Where's Nana' which was by far the best student night I've been to in bristol... Can't wait to make it down again.

This place is like a tomb, not a lover of small spaces, even though it is a large area it still looks small as dark and gloomy.

What kind of review is that? Its supposed to be dark - its a club for people that like "Proper" clubbing & underground music. If you want big shiney venues with no charictor whatsoever with similar people then im sure you will fine plenty of chain-clubs to suit you.

Timbuk2 gets some of the worlds best dj's and acts and is for people that like their music a lot deeper than commercial rubbish. Unsurprisingly the kind of people that attend are real non-pretentious and are simply up for a decent party. The venue itself is an underground tunnel like cavernous affair which reaps of character.

The music varies from night to night - you can expect to hear Dub-step/House/Techno/Dnb/Breaks/Funk/Soul/Hip-hop/Bassline/Garage/Fidget house/B'more/Electro and more...

The place is an institution in Bristol - definitely worth checking out if you haven't been yet!!
