Please note the previous review is now out of date.
My father (Dave Powell) and I (Dan Powell) took over the pub just before Christmas 2010 and have completely refurbished the pub.
Our aim for the pub is to offer a quality dining experience in a less formal environment utilising as many locally sourced products as possible.
Please note the pub opening times are as follows;
Pub open - Monday 17.00 - 23.00
Tuesday - Friday 12.00 - 15.00 & 17.00 - 23.00
Saturday 12.00 - 23.00
Sunday 12.00 - 22.30

Food served - Tuesday -Saturday 12.00 - 14.30 & 18.30 - 21.30
Sunday 12.00 - 15.30

Please note that the pub is closed Monday lunchtimes (we need a break too!) and that food is NOT offered Sunday evenings and all day Monday (at the moment......)
As for 5 stars, well I am the chef!

My husband and I often come for a walk here with the dog and then have a drink, its always very pleasant.
