One word, disappointing.

I walked in and loved the décor, lovely art on the walls, a hat theme (duh!) and a few beaten up sofas and tables. A really cosy bohemian feel properly encompassing of the Gloucester Road ethos.

However the novelty quickly wore off. Two surly members of staff ignored me standing at the counter for a good five minutes. One member of staff actually had a conversation with a friend and then looked at me and went to stocking the fridge whilst the other busied himself by making a coffee and chatting to his colleague.

As i had such a long time to admire the counter area i found it to be dirty, cramped and there seemed to be a lot of empty boxes and bags thrown haphazardly on the floor.

When i was finally served and asked for two diet cokes i received two dirty glasses which were filled from a 2ltr bottle from a fridge that obviously wasn't working that well. I was offered no ice, no clean glass, no smile, no banter, no nothing. Yes the drinks were cheap but i got what i paid for.

On returning to the table i found it to be dirty and sticky so promptly finished my drink, as did my friend who watched one of the members of staff roll his eyes at me whilst i was waiting (the audacity of me standing quietly, waiting to be served luke warm, flat coke from a bottle!) and promptly went to another place up the road where i got the sort of service i'd expect in a cafe.

Perhaps i just wasn't hip enough to be in there.

Went there recently and what a shitty place to have a drink in. Comprised of old tea cups for glasses and furniture that was probably bought down the road at a garage sale. I would agree with the previous reviewer - stay away. Seems to be directed to "poor" students in the 'hood or friends who don't know better.

Maybe re-direct some of your profit back into the place and perhaps you'd have an okay place to hang out.

Stay away - far better places on Gloucester Road for your hard earned money to be spent in.
