We frequent this pub on a regular basis. The two meals for £9 is a good deal. Additionly there is a full menu and a specials board to choose from , also very good value for your money. The landlady is so nice she really makes us feel welcome, always with a smile and she knows what we like even if she have'nt seen us in a while. I often reccomend this place to friends and family and no one has left there dissapointed.

I visited this pub while passing through Weston, Omg! Never met such a rude landlady! She was so stuck up and spoke to non regulars like dirt on the bottom of your shoe, Pubs are meant to be welcoming, Right? Not this one.

The food was awful. Soggy battered fish! Not fresh as they state. Even worse was the attitude of the landlady who gave us a refund but tried to tell us it was fine when it left the kitchen, why didn't you complain straight away etc etc. When you serve substandard food, expect complaints and don't argue with your customers.

All the locals rave on about this pub, but in my opinion its just bog standard, nothing to make a song and dance about!

this review was of the time when owned by greene king the pub is now a free house and has changed totally food is now freshly cooked and is at reasonable prices there are several new beers on tap ,2 ciders and 3 lagers from across europe the new landloord & landlady are very welcoming and have turned the pub around sunday carvery is a sellout every week and the 2 for £9.00 menu is great value as you could hardly buy it from the shops and cook it your self for the same price hope this update is helpful.
