Lovely little, traditional Real Ale Pub, hidden in the back streets of Blackboy Hill.

The Port of Call has a wide selection of traditional Real Ales, Lagers, Ciders, Spirits, Soft Drinks and Fine Whiskies all at very reasonable prices given the area it's in.

Food is served daily from 12-3pm, (A varied lunch menu at great prices!) and 6-9pm (A typical pub menu with a contemporary feel.) Everything is home made and well presented.

On my visit to the Port of Call, I had a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord which was in excellent condition! You can tell they take the time to look after their ales! My partner had half a Cornish Coaster, which was recommenced to her by the incredibly well trained staff and their informative Beer Menu.

We also had one of their delicious Sunday Roasts. We both had Beef which was cooked perfectly and served with all the trimmings. As the weather was nice, we enjoyed this is the rather large rear garden complete with umbrellas. A perfect sun trap for us all to enjoy.

All in all, I would definitely return to the Port of Call. As a very keen Real Ale drinker I would recommend this fabulous little place to you all.

Port of Call now being run by Ed Lobbett, Ben Webb (formerly of Bank Tavern) & Brizzle Kicks colleagues, who also recently took over the running of the now refurbished Adam & Eve in Hotwells. Launch party tonight: Friday 8 November 2013. In my experience, these people are great hosts and know what they're doing, and they will breathe new life into the pub. I will provide more information after tonight's reopening.
