Awful. Mainly due to extremely rude and out of hand barmaid Rebecca. I've been going for many years but that is now the last time, I won't be back. Prince of Wales, I would advise you to keep the quality of your staff high as it used to be. V disappointed and I have ever been so badly treated.
I am posting a review after a brief night out yesterday, the Saturday before Christmas. There were about ten of us, all paying customers, and we came with carols. The barmaid, Rebecca, encouraged us to sing 'we three kings', so we did. Two carols later, she started shouting a us for no real reason and confiscated our drinks, despite the fact that we were in a corner of the pub, were not being raucous or rude or out of hand. Yet she continued to shout and be rude to us, and forced us out. Yet her lovely colleague acknowledged we had done nothing wrong (the blonde one with long hair, sorry, I didn't get her name), as did the manager, and yet Rebecca continued to have a go at us, much to the dismay of her colleagues. We asked politely and nicely if there had been any complaints from customers, and asked what we had done wrong? Yet her only answer was that it had been a stressful night. Now I'm sorry, but work is not personal. The priority is what the customer or client wants, not if she has had a bad day. So we had a shocking night at the Prince of Wales, and unfortunately the rest of the staff did nothing to hold Rebecca back. Clearly she is the bulldog. I would avoid Prince Of Wales at all costs until Rebecca is gone as you certainly won't get respectable customer service. I'm sorry Prince of Wales, but after being a patron for many years, we are not coming back till Rebecca is gone. Sincerely, a disappointed customer.
