I think that this review is very unfair. Although there have been some incidents in the past, I have never had any problems with this pub. I have always the locals to be friendly and approachable. I have always got on with the many publicans who have managed this pub.

I have attended the Tap & Barrel a few times, I have always been greeted very warmly by the landlord & the staff who work there. The landlord in fact goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. In the last few weeks chopper club have been using the pub as their meeting place & since they have been there the trouble makers tow the line. All the members of Tap and Barrel are very respectful guys & show anyone a warm welcome that visit the pub in a respectful manner. I love the way that jumped up snooty yuppies comment on this establishment but have probably never been inside the pub & don't even have the gonads to put their name after their review. If you cant talk with the knowledge of drinking in there & don't have the balls to put your name to your comments then shut the f. K up. On the other hand I do, My name is Drewy & if you have a problem with this at least have the balls to tell me (and leave your name).

As a regular of the Tap & barrel i find that review very slanderous,,, maybe i should come review your home... yes i think you should prob have moved to redland or clifton... oh yes you couldnt afford it.... Well the tap is a very inviting local pub.. Mike the landlord has always treated myself & friends with total respect...Yes its a pub not a wine bar restaurant.... so expect to hear a few odd choice words on a weekend night and see a few people drinking... thats what its there for.... it has tables and chairs to sit on a bar to order drinks, toilets and a outdoor smoking area...Perfect... if you need anything else go to wetherspoons with the real chavs...Terry
