We just had our Xmas dinner at The Colosseum, which was a 3 course meal at £15 a head. Facilities wise wise it's not the nicest place you will ever go, the decorations are strange and the toilets really have seen better days. We had a good time though mainly thanks to the group of people we were with and the staff serve with a smile. Drinks are reasonably priced.

Thats as far as the positives go though. I have eaten at hundreds of pubs but our Xmas meal was the worst I have ever had put in front of me. The first course was cider and coriander soup which was really watery and overpowered with spice so you couldn't taste anything else and didn't even come with a roll. The main course was a flavorless roast dinner which managed to be both stone cold and burnt (it was obviously pre-cooked and not heated). Desert was Xmas pudding which although it was tiny was nice but then again this was out of a packet so they didn't need to cook it! We were left hungry (and I don't have a big appetite) so we went home and had a sandwich.

In short worst meal I've ever been served in a pub and I'm easy to please!
