A vast improvement from the days when it was a Hopback brewery managed pub, with a clique of middle class clientele.
Now a friendly , inexpensive pub , with an adequate range of beers and ciders.

I love this little pub. Hiding in the not-so back streets of Bedminster/Southville; It is a Gem. For all those who live in the area it's the perfect work-tonic on the walk home.
The prices are almost comical (seriously!) a tenner goes a long way in there. The couple who run the place now are friendly, witty and secretly mix a stunning cocktail or two if you ask really nicely, and with thier lil' dog, they make a welcome addition to the area.
The place is Charming,
The drinks are Cheap,
the music is Good,
the staff are Great
If I had to criticize, I'd ask for more bar snacks to soak up that "Traditional" but to be honest that would be nit picking.
oh, and they are cash only but at those prices you'd need to buy an impressive round to make the card worthwhile.

Since this "old style" pub has been refurbished, you instantly feel the love that has gone into making this pub "current"

The prices are rock bottom, you can't say no to Thatcher's Gold for £1.95!

The jukebox seems great, staff and management are fantastic. Very accommodating to drunken needs of cards for rounds of chase the ace!

A top pub in the Bedminster area and I highly recommend to have a visit to enjoy the fantastic prices. You won't be disappointed!

It was before the change of management. I like this little boozer now. I have a choice of "locals" and this one wins over the others hands down!!
