It seems this doomed pub has undergone yet another management change and it seems the new lot have little to no experience, They couldn't care about less about the customer happy, For example I went in there with my wife and my friend and saw to young men being served cloudy lager, They complained and the man behind the bar I believe he said he was the landlord or the landlords son (Looked about 15) refused to change the drink, The 6 customers that were there left soon after.

The Beaufort arms is just behind the parkway and sells a higher quality beer, The food is great and the staff actually care about what they do, Why bother going to the parkway when that's less than 2 minutes away?

All in all I would say avoid this place like the plague, It will never compare to the other pubs in the area and with the current lot just moved in it never will.

Me and my husband heard that this pub had just gone through a management change within the past couple of weeks so we thought we would give it a try the new managers and new staff were very friendly polite and helpful the food has very much improved from the last time we visited they now offer a wide selection of fresh vegetables and home made yorkshire puddings on the sunday carvery which was all very nice we had a very enjoyable visit and will be going back next week to try the grill night

Gone right down hill, staff are rude and unhelpful and the chef wouldn't get a job cleaning tables at Mcdee's, quote of the day was by the chef when we were served frozen solid cheesecake "its sposed 2 b like that" Most of the food on the menu unavaillable....AVOID

I can honestly say, The Parkway was fantastic! We went out for a birthday Sunday lunch and there were 11 of us in total. We started at our original destination, The Fox Den - you can read my review of The Parkway if you wish, they so were rude and unhelpful that we promptly left and instead found the Parkway after being turned away from the Beaufort for not allowing children (my daughter, aged 5 was with us)and what a lucky find! We were told that they would only be too happy to have us - we had a large row of tables and they allowed us to push them together so we could all chatter away and exchange gifts - they had pool and darts and quiz machines which was great for entertainment. We were all served quickly with our drinks - the staff friendly, outgoing and welcoming.

The food was a lovely simple carvery, we had a choice of roast beef, turkey or pork and you could have a Yorkshire pud and stuffing if you wished, gravy hot and ready to pour - with self service veg, they even had cauliflower cheese! My daughter was given a strawberry ice cream as part of her meal also! I would go there again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice simple pub lunch and good atmosphere! Brilliant

Carvery only with a choice of Gammon roast, Turkey and beef or have a bit of each. £3.99 Mon-Sat and £5.99 Sun. Excellent value. Great place for a family birthday celebration.
