Visited this pub on the evening of 18th Jan 2013 to attend an 18th party. The newly refurbished bars leave a lot to be desired, being stark and unwelcoming, the room was cold (it was a particularly cold night with frozen snow on the ground) and although there was provision to have a cheery fire it wasn't used. The buffet was provided by the pub was far from good, consisting of a couple of trays of over chips (some icy in the middle), trays of ready sliced bread (no spread, butter or margarine), and slices of pizza. all in all a bad experience.

Terrible nights sleep. Arrived at hotel to pub full of blokes watching football. After paying for room was not shown to room but given rough directions to room. No hot food served but told to use pub round corner for meals. Woken up from 230am till 4am with drunken lads and girls shouting, swearing and banging around ,jumping off beds!. Made noise complaint to manager in morning and was told her husband would get back to me. No reply after 36hrs so emailed my complaint.2 days later recieved reply saying it was "unfair " of me to ask for a refund!. Replied back telling manager about what my 15 year old son and I endured that night and have heard nothing since!. That is one week from original complaint. Would not recommend using this hotel because as soon as you have made a payment for your room they really dont care about you! Beware. Avoid!

This Pub/Hotel is now under new management, with a new landlord and has had a revamp. This review is no longer valid as there are now new staff, new decor and on a whole, a nice new place.

White Hart is a popular pub with the local families, its noce as its like a community pub that offers good food and a place for the kids to keep busy.
