Fantastic pub. I often stop by on my way home from work and the Packet is as traditional as they come. Great cider on draught and friendly people, a proper old fashioned pub that has been unspoilt and unchanged for many years. New landlords taking over pubs should be using this place as a blueprint - a pub is nothing without it's locals but also nothing without it's heart - and this place has that in abundance. Brilliant place, let's hope it stays that way.
The Packet has been my local for many years and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Only proper pub left around 'ere! Great people and entertaining conversations, what modern pubs seem to lack these days!
