went for dinner last night 29/5/14 with six friends and food was terrible. my curry was dry and tasteless the Bolognese was also dry and when asked for cheese a kitchen grater was bought out and cheddar cheese. the food was cold apart from the lamb shank and the ham egg and chips had a fly in the white of one of the eggs which made us feel sick and I could not finish my meal. the manager knocked off £3 for the fly but did not appear to be duly worried. we chose to go there because we had had good food before and the pub & club news for April states it is now open with new hosts Andy & Gilly. I feel we should not have paid at all and would never have gone there had we known there was a temporary manager. we will never go back there again

Food very disappointing I had roast of the day ,roast beef vegetables and roast potatoes, sprouts were soggy roast potatoes were uncooked in the middle yorkshire pudding soggy in the middle, beef absolutely tasteless I would say this was a microwaved ready meal inedible.my husband had a rump steak which was very fatty and gristly mushrooms uncooked, after complaining this meal was replaced, also the room was freezing cold.needless to say I wouldn't recommend.

food was expensive and just ok,chips were overdone, coffee machine was broke and pudding was dissappointing,no plates given with the bread basket and cutlery not replaced for second course, for the price that was paid it was ok food - but not divine,on the plus side the toilets were clean and the chickens outside were entertaining and the staff friendly, but the food was over rated.

Have eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Fresh and tasty grub and the owner is a lovely person.
