I have been here 4 times now and every-time felt relaxed and at ease. If you want genuine North African food cooked as it would be at home and served with a relaxed flair then come here. If you want a 'fancy resteraunt' feeling and are in a rush, don't.
If you don't know the style then think of eating in France (outside Paris that is) and drop the speed down another notch! It's also bring your own and the staff will happily put beer in the fridge and bring it to you when you are ready for it. Though why you aren't drinking red there is beyond me. I'm happy picking the lamb up to get everything off the bone, which despite one persons comments are cooked in a tagine so the meat is falling off the bone.
This is relaxed eating, but if you want to hear the music and feel romance, pick a week night as it gets pretty busy at the weekend.
Cost for two, with starters, tea, water, bread, mains and desert will come in under £30.

Quite simply the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant: on ordering the meal I requested a bottle of cold water with my meal, this came before the meal arrived, the water wasn't cold, wasn't with ice - a bad start! I ordered a lamb tajine which the menu stated consisted of 'tender pieces of lamb', instead it was a large chunk of fatty mutton on the bone, which was basically inedible. When I told the proprietor, i wasnt even offered an apology which is totally unacceptable, especially as myself and my friend left most of our meal. Why anyone could enjoy this restaurant is beyond me, but i suppose what is one man's meat, is another man's poison!

This is an authentic Moroccan restaurant, with very friendly staff, serving great food, it's not the Ritz but that's not what its trying to be. If you want authentic Moroccan food come here, if you want 5* dining and snooty waiters go to the Hilton.

We have visited the Casbah many times and always found it to be fabulous. Brilliant atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food in very chilled surroundings. Its also the only restaurant in Bristol where I'm not afraid to ask for the bill!

Indeed, to complain that meat was on the bone is a strange one to me... If eating Moroccan and the meat wasn't on the bone I would then be complaining! Plus mutton is far tastier when spiced than lamb! Love it!

I fancied some lamb, so four of us gave this place a try. What huge portions! Excellent food at a reasonable price - both starters and main courses. Service was prompt. The only downside was that the place was a little cramped. Will definitely return.

I came here a little while ago with a group of friends and we were all impressed with the food and service.
