I too visit the lounge regularly. The standard of the food has dropped considerably recently. The specials have been poor and the portion size has got smaller and smaller even their regular menu the quality has dropped. The tables are rarely wiped and the glasses are either hot(!) or dirty. Even the quiz which used to be okay is now the longest quiz in history regularly finishing after time has been called on a monday night!
We go to the lounge regularly because it has / had a great atmosphere and it is local to us.However standards have dropped vastly. It is now difficult to get served with a clean glass. The toilets have the most peculiar and unpleasant smell and the place is awash with screaming toddlers and babies in pushchairs ( although they do bring their parents)I have voiced my comments to the management politely, only to have them snigger behind my back.Such a shame.
