The Star has had a make-over and is now part of the "Fayre and Square" chain. The menu has been revamped and offers a wide choice of pub type food, with the offer of 2 main courses for £10 - all clearly marked on the menu. There's a good selection of starters, main courses with veggie options and nice desserts, children's menu and a small reasonably priced wine list. (Not much on offer for real ale fans though - just Butcombe and Marston's!) Plenty of space inside the pub with some tables out in the conservatory. Staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick. Its also got a large car park but watch the traffic when you are coming out of the car park - it can come up the Rhodyate hill quite fast and it can be difficult to get out at certain times of the day! A good place to stop halfway between Bristol and Weston.

really yummy food!!! service is efficent and the toilets were very clean.
