I contacted Embargo59 and made a high number of requests, changes to dates, guest lists adding more people, a table booking etc, the club accommodated all of it.

The club supported me in everything and all the way! The night of my birthday on the 30th October, I was met by a lovely polite lady, I told her who I was which she informed me that I had a lot of friends waiting upstairs for me.

I was escorted upstairs, by another lovely polite lady. Me and my friend were asked to pay to enter, the price on the door was cheap for what my evening had in store for me.

The lady waited for me and escorted me inside and over to my table, surround by friends. As I had over 25 people there, the table was only suited for 8 people, I told the lady I would not require this table, the staff had no problem with my changing my mind at this short notice.

The decor was wow, the seating clean and freshly styled, the dance floor was lit up with different colours, something that really up lifted the atmosphere.

Empty glasses or spillages were attended to swiftly, the club wanted to keep well presentation throughout the night. All the staff were really friendly.

They too looked like they were enjoying the night. The security not seen till the night was over to close up. The outside terrace area was beautiful, nice lighting and smooth decor.

The crowd, amazing, filled with only mature people, I felt completely safe in this club not having the fear of someone spoiling my evening with bad manners.

The vibe was completely different and the crowd it attracts is just something else! The DJ was great more than willing to take photo’s with me to remind me on my night at Embargo. The music was great and got everyone in the club dancing.

Drinks were really reasonable, no expense for what you would expect. I LOVED IT! Top class treatment, experience with a club like never before. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

At last a West-end quality venue down in Chelsea, gone are the days when I had to get cabs to and from Chelsea to Mahiki or similar, finding myself there Thursday to Saturday is something I would have been ashamed of,

I now am proud to be associated with such a quality establishment.

Also Sam Young on Wednesdays??? What a coup.

I'm trying hard to think of a nice thing to say about this place but what's the point, there isn't anything.

Embargo's has recently had a refurb which has removed the little atmosphere that it originally did have. When myself and my girlfriend arrived on a Friday night we were charged £15 each.... £30 pounds?

"you do realise this is embargo's not some trendy mayfair club was my response".

Unfortunately we paid to get in and immediately realised it was a mistake. We tried to proceed to the dance floor but it was literally impossible due to the complete overgrowding (health and safety regulations are obviously no concern for this place).

I was not going to even contemplate queing for a drink as it was about 12pm and the place probably closed at 3.Long story short we were in there for less time than it has taken me to write this as there was no room to move, let alone dance.

Out of frustration from trying to fight our way back to the exit I admitedly pushed open the fire escape to the complete annoyance of the bouncers (this was my only feeling of one uppance) but at £30 for 5 minutes that was small recompense. In short this is a terrible club and you would have a much better (if not a little cheesy) night next door!!!

On Oct. 8th, I was with my friend who had a comp table/bottles and I was dancing with this beautiful girl and they just randomly grabbed me and threw me out.

I tried to calmly tell them that I think they might have me confused with someone else and asked why they were escorting me out but, they gave me no explanation.

I'm from NYC and in all the years of going to top clubs and lounges back home I have never been thrown out of ANYWHERE!!

It was a really warm welcome to London on my 2nd night; I will never return to this venue.

With all top night clubs in london you don't get thrown out for no reason, also they dont have time to listen to any reasons you may have, sounds bad but theres always something going on.

They are there to do the job at the end of the day. Also just so you know doorman are nice people, if something happened to you during your night you would expect them to help you out.

One thing, doorman do have the right not to give explanation for there actions. - Report

To be fair i was having a really good time, however I was grabbed by two bouncers without warning and pushed down the stairs which seriously hurt my ankle.

I was there for my 22nd birthday but they didnt make any effort and i was randomly grabbed my two bouncers and pushed about.

Dont go here if you want to have a good time. They are awful

Went to Embargo on a Thursday. It was a last minute thing at about midnight, so we weren't on the guest-list and by the time we got there, the place was heaving.

We did have a wait outside (if your going - guest-list to be on the safe side) but it was worth it.

Although I found the door staff on their usual stereotypical power trip, once you're inside, the atmosphere is amazing. The DJ was banging out great tunes, a good mix of dance, hip hop, chart music, something for everyone.

OK, so the general clientele is the rah-rah-parting-so-far-on-the-side-of-my-head-it's-just-above-my-ear crowd, but Embargo is not about posing. Party goers come to this spot to have a good time!

Drinks were reasonably priced (I got a Mojito for £5!) and very yum. The terrace was packed, which was a bit uncomfortable, and someone did manage to donk a massive glass on the top of my head (by accident) which hurt quite a bit, but didn't spoil my evening.

Filled with beautiful people having some mid week fun, I will definitely be gracing Embargo's doorway again very soon!

For somebodys birthday we ended up in the VIP room which was great and had good drinks.

However they tried to give out table to somebody else half way through the night.

Then as we were walking out at the end of the night my girlfriend had liquid from a rubbish bag dripped on her dress down the stairs as they were following us out - very disgusting.

When asking the bouncer to speak to a manager or someone was very very unprofessional.

When we got irate, after spending a fair bit of money there 6 bouncers came and we violent with us - only 4 of whom would show us their id cards after they had chased some of us a block down the street!!! incredible!

I think the newly refurbished Embargo 59 is the best club on the Kings Road by a long way.
