I ordered a delivery of tandoori prawns, saffron rice & a savoury pancake (can't recall the exact name). The delivery came within 45mins as promised. The food was a little disappointing. The prawns tasted good but they had their tails left on which involved me getting my hands very messy removing them before I could take a bite. The pancake was pleasant however there was something very wrong with the saffron rice. I think possibly the pan it was cooked in wasn't cleaned of washing up liquid very thoroughly and so the rice tasted awful. Shame that these details ruined a potentially lovely meal. Would order again though - maybe it was a one off!
Me and my fiance went on a Saturday evening and had a great meal. We often eat at Indian restaurants, but at first glance of the menu it there were some dishes we didn’t recognise and some old favourites that weren’t there at all, DON’T LET THIS PUT YOU OFF. When we sat down they asked if we had been before and when we said no, they took time and care in explaining how the foods are traditionally eaten, what went well together, ingredients and (when we asked) even the cooking methods. We followed the recommendations of the waiter and had a great meal with dishes we had never eaten before (the recommendations did not result in us spending lots of money and came to less money than we usually spend at similar restaurants). Strongly recommend!
Great food, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Don't be put off if menu seems different to other Indian restaurants, contains traditional Indian recipes and not the English style curries. Waiters take time to explain menu, what goes well together, how food is traditionally eaten and even ingredients and cooking methods. Great service as they weren't intrusive but always available to ask questions and cleared empty plates promptly. Strongly recommend if you like Indian food, also great value for money, we actually spent less money due to the waiters recommendations!
