Im a first year and after some cool hangouts in town? where does the best deals and is just the coolest place to hang?

It depends on if you are after a pub to get smashed? or a pub to just chill out in? I think the The Croft is a great place for students to spend a drunken afternoon, but the The Prom and The White Bear are pretty good to. hope this helps
