So very disappointing. Service was unfriendly, and food rather expensive for what it was. I was also not permitted to swap my chips for new potatoes as the chef would get annoyed (i think he may find it is the paying customer that pays his wages). In these times of recession i should think changing chips for new potatoes is the least of their worries and making a customer feel valued and welcomed is of top most importance.
We were so offended and disappointed my family and i went to the Riverside for pudding and coffee and felt very welcomed, it was our first visit there and we would recommend it, unlike the Jolly Sailor which we not be visiting again.

The Riverside is owned by the same people. The Jolly sailor has the best pub garden right by the lock on the river Avon, and fantastic views for miles around.

One star because the soup and dessert were nice.

Appalling customer service, Xmas lunch turkey was 2 chunks of veiny, fatty turkey, when I asked for some lean turkey instead my plate was taken away and returned with the fat cut off, when I complained and asked for 2 different leaner pieces, I was told in a very abrupt manner, all the turkey is the same. I asked if beef was fatty too, reply 'what do you mean fatty?' me ' well, not lean'. Had beef, this was more fat than meat too. Complained to waitress that I thought she was rude and was told that I had been holding up other customers. Paid £24.95 for this, never again.
