Aug 2012, come here weekly, good pub, relaxed atmosphere and good food. They have an amazing selection of beers and cider what more could you want :)
The Inn on the Green was named Camra’s best real ale pub in Bristol a few years ago, and it is easy to see why, with an ever-changing roster of beers. Yesterday, Bristol Beer Factory’s Exhibition, Red, Sun Rise and Number Seven were all on tap alongside Cotleigh 25, Bob from the Wickwar brewery and Deuchars IPA. There was also Cheddar Valley and Addlestone’s cider, and these were the ones I had time to note down before I just had to get stuck into the mighty fine Exhibition.
Above the bar are beer mats of the many hundreds of beers once served here. It really is a real ale drinker’s paradise. There are always plenty of punters inside, choosing what ales to drink at what is a year-round beer festival. To lure even more folk through the door, Saturday night diners pay £20 for two courses and a bottle of wine – an absolute steal. And Monday nights between 6pm and 10pm are iPod Mondays, where if you bring your iPod your music can be played over the pub’s speakers for half-an-hour stints. I did this once, and it was only me who had turned up with my iPod, but it was very amusing to have some of my more obscure tracks showcased.
Funny little pub this with a strange name as its as far as I can see surrounded by concret and tarmac and no green.
food was a bit arty and not alot of it, not what you would expect in this location
It was pricey as well which is,nt good when you pay alot and still feel hungry I am surprised the Mcdonald generation who seem to be mostly its customers put up with this type of food
wont use again unless some one else pays for the food
hi
had sunday lunch here yesterday 28/06/09 looked nice but not alot of it and the beef was stringy and tough
The pub was a pub nothing special but this meal was very poor and quite expensive for a local pub
luckily the Chippy was open so I topped up there
OK for a pint in this pub but save your money when it comes to food unless you are not hungry and like pretty food cheers
My boyfriend brought me here for a meal last week and it was really scrummy!! Nice pub, nice food, nice people.
