Always friendly staff and good wine. Can sometimes be a bit crowded on the weekends but this just adds to the atmosphere!
A great spot for supper; the food all seems to be sourced locally, and boy is it yummy! I rate The Albion highly and when I get a night out in Bristol the Albion is my fave haunt. Friday and Sat nights have a great atmosphere - and you can order tapas to nibble on if you don't fancy a full on meal. You don't have to wait too long at the bar (which I hate!) and the chef seems to know what he's doing - the calamari is particularly delicious. Go midweek for a quieter night, weekends for a fun night out. In the early evening/daytime the patio is a suntrap and there always seems to be a sign up introducing the latest parties & events they run. The interior is chic but traditional, the upstairs seating the best place for a birthday or Xmas dinner. The only downside is you can't park nearby. But who wants the car after 3 pints of Guinness!
Had dinner there last night. Thought the food was good value and enjoyed the wine.
I visited the Albion in Clifton village last night with my wife for dinner.
I must say that the food really was excellent. Recommended.
Jesus mother of Mary! who in their right minds is going to pay £4 for a pint of Amstell?
Not even in London would i find this extortionate price in Soho/Shoreditch/Kensington.
The people in here have far too much money than sense and seem to congregate together to compare the size of their wallet than their small appendages!
If your names Tarquin or Johnathon then this is the place for you. If you're normal then head down the road to the coronation tap or even round the corner to the Clifton wine bar or even close Ameoba.
I went to the Albion for a quick drink with the missus, the pub was ok but not really my thing.
