If i had a choice then it would be zero stars. It looking very appetising on the website, however we didn't even get to eat the food. Got seated quickly but in a dark corner, my boyfriend had to literally re adjust the spot lights onto are table. However no staff member noticed him doing this because they were oblivious to us sitting there. We waited 25 minutes for someone to come over and take our order but no-one came. There was lots of staff working but no one seemed to care that not one single staff member had come to us since being seated. In the end, still no one came after 30 mins, so we left. Instead we went to pizza hut because we were so hungry!

First of all, I'm annoyed that I have to give even one star for this hideous place ! ( no option to give zero ! ) I first ate here a couple of years back and vowed NEVER to return ! Stupidly, I returned with a friend ! An unbelievable experience for all the wrong reasons ! Brown lettuce leafs, slimy cucumber and tomato, unhealthy looking pork ! Looked terrible on the plate and tasted awful. The cottage pie I chose was laughable ! Some frozen looking anemic mish mash of watery potato and grey looking mince. I shudder just thinking about it ! My friend had to ask for clean cutlery as it was almost possible to plate up a small child's meal with what was left clinging to her fork and spoon ! Disgraceful !
I ran into a neighbour whose niece works in their kitchen. She threw some light on the awful cottage pie. Bought in bulk from Farm Stores at a cost of 30 pence each ! Why aren't I surprised ! Avoid like the plague.

Well where to start after reading the previous review I thought 'what the hell i'll give it a go'!. I have been to the Brassmills many times before and never had a bad experience yea the food seemed to take longer than usual to come out but to be fair the place was packed to the rafters!! (in my opinion always a good sign). I was greeted by one of the Bar Staff and was shown to my table straight away served within 5 minutes my drink order. Ok then I did have to wait 20 mins for my starter but was well worth it I decided to go with the 3 courses for £10 in a way I was half expecting the dishes to be half size because of the price (none of it full size portions and plenty of it!). The food was great and the service was prompt and efficient. Deffinatley will be back again and ill try and aim for a quieter time!!

Myself and my girlfriend visited this pub today and the food was incredibly poor. Ok, here we go..! Her chicken bacon avocado and tomato salad with honey dressing arrived with no dressing, no 'crisp cos lettuce' at all(!!), the plum tomatoes as advertised were in fact slimy, insipid sliced regular salad tomatoes, the avocado had clearly gone bad and tasted awful, the chicken was very greasy and poorly cooked, the salad leaves that did turn up on the plate were clearly very old, limp and slimy. It's barely worth mentioning that the food was thrown together carelessly- terrible presentation and at £8.95, one of the worst plates of food I've ever seen. My plowman's lunch looked on the surface to be ok, until I bit into my 'Special own recipe' pork pie- the meat was grey and frozen solid in the center, the pastry was very unpleasant, and the whole thing (a very small pork pie it was too!) was still in the foil packaging. The salad, on closer inspection, was the same quality in as my girlfriends meal- extremely poor! The 'crusty bread' was a somewhat stale, spongy baguette. Not as advertised. We also ordered a side of 'Steak Cut Chips' at £2.75. What we got was half a *small* bowl of regular french fries, very greasy, not fully cooked, tasteless and limp. If a pub can't even get an order of chips right, there's something very wrong! I certainly will not returning to this Pub, which is a shame because the pub itself is very attractive with a nice atmosphere.
