Dreading the Christmas shopping? Head to The Mall and after trudging around the shops you can try ice skating. Bristol has the largest outdoor ice rink in the South West, all set under the glow of The Mall's festive decorations.

Festive Fun
The ice rink is one of the highlights of the Christmas activities at The Mall. It's extremely popular and last year more than 30,000 skaters slid about on the rink. It's a great way to get into the festive spirit and to burn off calories both before and after Christmas!

Ticket Offer
To celebrate the opening of the ice rink at The Mall, there's an offer on all ice skating. Bristol skaters who book for the opening weekend of the Winter Wonderland activities at The Mall can take advantage of a buy one get one free offer, as well as being the first to try out the ice.

Learners
It's best to try to get in as early as possible if you're not confident with ice skating. Bristol may have its own ice rink, but that doesn't mean everyone's an expert. And if seeing the outdoor rink gives you the sudden urge to take to the ice, do it early. After all, you don't want to take your first faltering steps onto the ice surrounded by kids who have spent their weekends whizzing around the rink. Get in early and join the rest of the learners!

Winter Wonderland
If you can't make it for the opening weekend and miss the offer, every Tuesday until 15th December you can also get two for one tickets on ice skating. Bristol shoppers who aren't so keen on risking a go on the rink will find a variety of other ways of getting into the festive spirit. The Mall is also hosting a Christmas lights switch on and a Santa's grotto.
