Trinity Fireworks Display
When
7pm - 11pm, 1st November 2009
Where
Trinity Centre, Lawrence Hill
A free, family fireworks party is being held at the Trinity Centre. But the Trinity fireworks display is more than just a pyrotechnics show - there are light projections, live music and ladles of steaming hot cider.
Bonfire
The Trinitiy fireworks display has all the traditional elements you expect from Guy Fawkes Night. There's a bonfire which will be lit at 7pm. But to add some extra special shimmer and sparkle to the evening the centre will be decorated with light projections, both inside and out.
Live Music
As soon as the bonfire is lit the festivities at the Trinity fireworks display begin. There'll be music from The Ambling Band who'll be playing while the fireworks shoot into the night sky. And when the fireworks have fizzled out the party continues indoors with entertainment from The Glitzy Bag Hags.
Winter Warmers
To chase away the winter chill the Trinity Centre will be serving up home-cooked festive fare, as well as mulled cider to ensure you're in the mood for a proper party to celebrate/commiserate the end of gun powder, treason and plot.
Fireworks Party
As the Trinity fireworks display is more of a party than just a straightforward bonfire night, the fun continues through the night with music from the hefty vinyl collection of Read Jones with everything from reggae to funk and rock.
The Trinity fireworks display takes place from 7pm - 11pm, 1st November 2009. The event is free.
